postcards galore!

In the past week or so, I've made seven postcards that I felt were good enough to send. I also made three or so that I hated so much that I tore up and threw away. Eh... 7/10 ain't bad!

Hi all! Sorry about neglecting my poor blog! I've still been making art... I just haven't been posting it here. I do, however, post most of my work on my Flickr account. I'll post some pics of my most recent art here on my blog, as well. I hope that everyone is having a happy summer!!!

February!

I learned how to crochet last week! So far, I've crocheted three washcloths for Vasya and Sergei (the two orphans I sponsor through An Orphan Smiles). Also, I've been playing in my art journal and gluebook. Sorry for the glare on the pink art journal page! Thank you to Samantha Kira Harding for the pink and blue collage bit in the Anne Boleyn collage.

I apologize for having been MIA! Sadly, my digital camera has been taking blurry pictures for some reason. Nonetheless, I'll post some pictures of my recent artwork here. Here are two envelopes that I made using the "acrylic smashing method" and also a postcard I collaged. I hope you enjoy!

Happy fall! I hope everyone is enjoying the autumn! During the October snowstorm, a tree fell on my car. Luckily, I have insurance, so repairing the hood won't be that expensive. It's still such a hassle, though! Anyway, I haven't been making art all the much recently. However, I still make mail art here and there. Here are some postcards I've made recently, as well as a picture of my very messy desk!

I apologize for not having posted in a while! I've still been making art, just not posting it here. So sorry! Here's some new stuff, including mail art, some stamping experiments (a la Traci Bunkers), and an art journal page in which I play with washi tape.

April Happenings!

Hi all! I'm sorry I've been neglectful of my blog. Recently, I've been art journaling, making Zentangles, and exchanging mail art. Here is some of my recent work: a postcard that I made for Samie Kira (www.journalgirl.com); the beginning of a scarf I am making for Vasya, the orphan in Ukraine who I sponsor; a mandala I colored in (the mandala is from http://www.doodle-art-alley.com/index.html); and a Zentangle ATC I made for a swap.
